SE 5a

This is a 0.20-0.25 size SE 5a. The airplane’s fuselage is constructed from balsa and plywood. Two foam wings sheeted and cap-stripped with 1/32 balsa create a scale wing look. The aircraft is easy and quick to build when compared with other WWI sport-scale designs. The ship was designed to give the builder/pilot the look and feel of the real thing. The SE 5a makes a great second airplane project. The plans should be available from RCM after the magazine article is published.
