Palomar R/C Flyers Flying Fields

The Palomar R/C Flyers currently maintains one flying field in Fallbrook. Since we're located in sunny southern California, we largely have flying all year round, however, during the rainy season, the field can be closed to prevent damage.

Rarely, the field is closed after an extended rain. Please use discretion and wait until the roads are sufficiently dry.

Weather

Current Weather in Ramona (as close as we could find to Johnson field)

The weather in southern California is almost always great! So, in general, there is a 90% chance that the weather is sunny, with a slight breeze from the west, and 70 - 80 degrees. There is a rainy season between January and April, and the field may be closed, however, there will be a sign on the gate indicating field closure, as well as information on the hotline.

Johnson Field in Fallbrook

Johnson Field is the Palomar R/C Flyer's premier field. Johnson Field has been open since November of 1997. The field has a 40 x 600 alphalt runway. The pits are carpeted, and there is 3000 square feet of sun shade. We have two shaded spectator areas for families, and visitors, as well as spectators during club events. The field is open to visitors on weekends--come visit us!

Location:  Johnson Field is located in southern California, in North San Diego County, near the town of Fallbrook (Click here for a Map) . From the intersection of Routes 76 and 15 near Fallbrook, go east on Route 76 for about 1/10 of a mile to Pankey Road. Turn left. About 200 yards is a dead end, and to the left is our gate.
