North County Airshow

October 4, 2003

The Airshow was held on October 4 - after several delays including a rainout and reschedule.

We began with a Swap Meet - at 7:00am - and had an excellent turnout - over 100 cars parked in the Swap Meet area. Lots of really great models available for sale and much to choose from.

The Pancake Breakfast started at about 7:00am also with pancakes and syrup, sausages, orange juice, coffee being served until almost 11:00am.

The show went on promptly at 10:00am. Quite a long show - over 3 hours. Spectators (est. 500) got their money's worth since it was all free. We also set up the RC Simulators (3) in a special tent which was a popular attraction for kids - they didn't want to let us tear it down. Also Charles Lewis arranged for the more intrepid to fly RC with our RC fleet using dual controls after the show.

Here's a brief pictorial report (click on the links). Pictures are courtesy of Ron Smith.
