Simple Plastic Airplane Design
SPAD

SPADs fall into the Open B Category of combat planes.

Open: Any design you want to fly, weight limit 3.5 pounds
B: engine displacement up to .30 cubic inch

For someone who is thinking about flying combat, doesn't have any experience flying combat and wants to try it out, SPADs are by far the easiest and cheapest way to go. This particular style of aircraft has done very well in contests around the country. The aircraft is manufactured from rain gutter downspout and Coroplast (TM) sign material. Spads are so easy to build that folks have been building them at the field on the weekend!
There is a website dedicated to building these plastic aircraft, go to Spad To The Bone and see what they have to offer. The Spad type of aircraft is not limited to combat planes; the Debonair is one of the finest trainers available and can be built at a fraction of the cost of a new trainer ARF.

You say you don't want to build your own! There are people who will build them for you! Yes, you can get a SPAD ARF! You can contact James or Butch at the field, or check out their web site Spad Dawgs
