The Palomar R/C Flyers is San Diego County's largest powered radio-controlled flying club. AMA Chartered (Charter #141) since the late fifties, the club provides a wide range of activities and facilities for the membership. The club's facilities are located mainly in North San Diego County. Meetings: 7:30PM on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the Josyln Senior Center, 101 Richmar Rd., San Marcos, CA. Public is invited. Flying Field: Located at the northeast corner of Highway 76 and I-15 (Pankey Rd.). Flying is from 8:00am (9:00am on Sunday) to dark every day for members. There is a 600 ft. asphalt runway, four separate helicopter pads, pit area with tables and chairs, toilet facilities, plenty of parking, RV parking area (no facilities), and toilet facilities. The gates are open to the public on weekends and holidays.
